10months have passed...

At Six Months:
Time has seemed to have sped up since having AJ. He has been the best baby, and I'm somewhat biassed.  Since he's been born, he's had his first Thanksgiving (road trip), small family beach vacation, Christmas, a trip to New Orleans, and as well as his first cold.  I cried when he came down with his first cold.  I began to think it was my fault and that I maybe I had given it to him.  I'm so grateful he didn't get the flu or the stomach virus that has gone around our school several times.   He is nursing like a champ.  He weighed in at 14lbs and 11oz.  He's rolling over both ways now (belly to back and back to belly). He loves to laugh at silly mommy and daddy and sleeping all night for the most part. His sweet personality is really coming out.  I think he will be like his mommy on never meeting a stranger.  His first vegetable was green beans, which he wasn't too sure of.  He's first fruit was blueberries, which he loved.

AJ's first visit with Santa. (12 weeks)

In June, we went to my doctor's appointment in Birmingham and decided to make a pit stop in Tuscaloosa on the way home.  Needless to say, AJ loved the Paul "Bear" Bryant Museum.  He loved all the trophies and Big AL.  I can't wait to take him to his first Bama game.

At Nine Months:
AJ has 3 teeth with the fourth coming in.  He's all over the place crawling and pulling himself up.  He weighed in at his appointment at 16lbs and 10oz.  He's still a little on the petite side on height.  He loves to eat whatever is put in front of him; from meats, to veggies, and easy to pick up fruit.  He loves to self feed instead of being spoon fed.  He's growing so fast and now I know why people want time to slow down.  He will be one in a few short months.   He's still nursing like a champ and doesn't show signs of slowing down at all.  I love to sit and watch him play and discover.  He had his first big beach vacation.  He loved the beach  this time.   He ate sand (I tried hard not to let him, but it was out of my control) and had it from head to toes, tried fish for the first time, swimming in both the ocean and the pool, and loved spending time with his grandparents and cousins.  He's going to be fearless, which makes me excited and nervous all at the same time.

Our first date, since AJ's been born.  A steak dinner was had, and it was very good!

AJ likes avocados.

Summer at City Hope!
Talking about the family budget at the dinner table isn't fun for AJ.

At Ten Months:
he has 4 teeth, with the 5th coming in.  He's pulling up and taking steps around whatever he's pulled himself up on.  He's all over the place.  He loves fruit, especially bananas, chicken, ham roll ups, and any kind of vegetable.  We start back to school tomorrow, and I pray he has a smooth transition.  I have to say I've really enjoyed spending every day with him and all his cuddles.  I'm going to have to get used to not having my daily naps.  He's grown so much that I wished time would slow down.

PS: AJ experienced his first lost this summer.  Lady has passed, due to not coming in one night. We loved Lady so much, and she's missing the best part of AJ.  She loved, when I had my in home, to clean up after my boys threw food on the floor.  She was really starting to show interest in AJ and whatever he was doing.  We buried her in the backyard with her favorite toys.
