Road Trip!!

Andrew had a show last weekend in Atlanta. So, we decided to make a weekend out of it! Soon after all my kiddos left for the weekend, we headed to Tupelo to drop the dogs off at grandparents. (Thanks Cathy and Mike for watching them for us!!). We haven't had a weekend away in a long time so I was really excited for this trip. We finally made it to Atlanta at about 2 Eastern time. We were both tired and ready for bed. I booked us a room in a really nice 4 star hotel, Omni at CNN Center, which is right down from the Georgia Dome. We could see the Georgia Dome right out our window!

The show was at Chastian Park Amphitheater. It was a really nice place. The guest brought their own picnic baskets with their dinner and wine to enjoy during the show. I have to admit; I'm really beginning to feel like an adult. I booked our room and then took my first Taxi to the park. I thought I would have my drive lost and it made me a little nervous. I decided that I would GPS the trip as we traveled to help my nerves. I guess now I should introduce Andrew's new boss. He is the Lighting Designer for Martina McBride! I'm so proud and excited for him! He makes me so happy and it makes me really happy to watch him enjoy his job as much as he does. Warning lots of pictures!

Martina moves around a lot and it's hard to get good pictures! I had a great time meeting all the guys he works with. It really does give me piece of mind that they all are working and not playing all day. I did not get a chance to meet her, but I did meet her husband and youngest daughter, John and Ava. They are the sweetest. Her daughter looks just like John.
One of Andrew's co-workers had his son out with them. It warmed my heart to see him out and learning the ropes from his dad. I asked Andrew if he would take our son out if we had one. He can't wait to teach our son the rules of the road and show him how to run lights. I can't wait until that day comes.

My man doing what he loves.

We had a great time!! I can't wait to go out with him again!! She plays Tunica in a couple of weeks!

Where does time go??

I know it has been 3months since my last post. Sorry! Life got the best of me! We have been so busy. I have started back to school, changed my major (again), and started keeping kids in my home on a full time bases.
I changed my major because I still have not passed the Reading section of the Praxis 1. I changed my major to General Studies which means I have 3 minors. To me it looks like I could not make up my mind on what I wanted to go to school for. I will graduate in May with minors in Education, History, and English. I know people wonder what I can do with this degree. I can teach with it and go into the alternative route to teaching and teach 7th-12th. I have always wanted to teach the older ones and be a Beta Sponsor. I do not really know what or where I want to teach.
i have had several moms ask me to stay at home and keep their little ones while they were at work. Of course, I said yea! This really helps me get my baby fix for the day and send them home. Ha! It's been great so far. I have two full time and one part time. I have several that haven't even made it into the world yet. Jake's little brother/sister is on my waiting list. I'm so excited to get these new ones. Jake is going to be a great big brother.

Andrew has been all over with his new job. He went to Canada a couple of weeks ago and just got back from an Atlantic Coast run. I'm going to meet her next week during a weekend getaway to Atlanta. I'm really excited about that. I'm also going to hunt down a store from a show I watch that comes on Lifetime. I can wait to getaway for a weekend to spend time with the hubs since it's really hard now since I'm taking night classes, and he's traveling.

My parents have celebrated another birthday. My dad turned 50 this year! I'm so excited for him and can't wait to celebrate more.

I go back to Dr. Cannon for my four year check-up on Oct 14, I'm doing well and can't believe I have been out for four years. I have learned so much about my illness and how it reacts to everyone involved. UC did not get the best of me!
-------------------
That was an update on what's going on now. Now to get to the rest of the summer. I had a great time on Vacation this year. There was another shark caught while we were there. Also, Morgan and I were swimming about 40 yards away from one and was told to get out of the water. I had no idea why we needed to get out of the water until we walked out of the water and the guy told us about the shark. To make it a small world, I did not recognize the guy and his family at the time, but I met them and a mutual friend's gender reveal party. I noticed them on a comment that was made on that friends' Facebook post. Zoey was a joy to be around at the beach. She loved the water and liked me more when I would take her to the edge to put her toes in. She laughed and played with all of us as she warmed up.

I left Casper and Lady in the care of the kennel where Layla and Bella stayed. I have to say that cried like a baby when I dropped them off. I have left them with family for over night and that kind of thing but never really with total strangers. I know the kennel manager thought that I was crazy! She was great and put me at ease about leaving my babies. I don't have kids of my own yet at treat them like I would if I had kids. Yes, they do sleep with Andrew and myself. The manager was great. She let me call and sent me pictures of them the first day and the third day to make me feel comfortable. It was a blessing to have her. We all went in together to get her a happy for taking such great care of our babies. If ever in Tupelo, MS and need someone to keep your animals call the Pet Peabody.

Jaylee has turned 3 and is becoming more and more into a little girl and not a baby. She still is in love with her PopPop, my dad.

Children's Museum!!!

I go to church with some really sweet ladies! One of them has a year membership for the Children's Museum and invited Jake and I to go with her and kiddos and another family. We were both really excited! This was my first time going and Jake's second. At the Museum, they have different rooms that you can pretend that you are the worker. Jake loved all the rooms. So we packed a picnic and off we went!! Here is a few pictures from the day!!

Jake likes to dance!! This was so fun to watch him do!!

He loved the fire truck and acting like a fireman.

He was a great fisherman. His Popaw would be proud!!

I love my Jake!! :)

He like shopping at Kroger!

This was on the way home!! He loved it and so did I!! I can't wait to go back!! He's asked me very day since when could we go back!!

Dreams Coming True!

I know it's been a while since my last post. I've been busy with school and now keeping kiddos for the summer. I've got Jake and Presleigh for the first two weeks. After that, I'll just have Jake. I'm excited and have planned to teach him a lot this summer before he goes to Preschool this fall. Hopefully, I'll post pictures of his work. Right now, we are working on how to write his name.

Andrew's dreams are finally coming true! We are both beyond excited for this experience. He's dream job is to tour with an artist, and the right one has come along. I'm not going to mention her name but she does enough to keep us afloat. I'm so proud of the work he is doing to achieve this dream. In about a week, he's going on a two week tour with her to California, Arizona, and New Mexico. I wished I could travel with him. He is nervous and excited to work for her. I've not met her yet, but I plan on it really soon. I'll be ok by myself because I plan to keep busy, and I'm going to the beach for the second week with my family (Andrew's side). I'm so excited about the beach!! It's been three years since we have been. Andrew is going to fly in and spend the last couple of days with us. Zoey, our newest niece, is also going to the beach and I can't wait to spend some time getting to know her better.

We've tried to possibly move back to Tupelo, but all the opportunities have not gone through like we have hoped. We are ok with it because we feel like it is best for us at the moment.

Casper and Lady are fine!! They have become a bit more jumpy since Jake and Presleigh have been over. I don't know what they are going to do when we have kids of our own someday. Lady is sitting either in my lap or right next to me as I type this post.

School for me has kind of taken a back burner. I have applied for a few teacher assistant jobs and hope to do that this fall. I also have to wait to take classes again until next spring due to Praxis 1 scores. I didn't pass the reading part of the but have passed the Writing and the Math sections. I feel that I may never finish but hopefully someday I will walk across some stage as a college graduate. I'm registering for it today so hopefully this next time I will pass it!

So this is our life at the moment, and it always seems to change when we least expect it. Hope everyone is having a great summer!! I plan too! :)
