Randomness!!

Hey! I know it's been awhile since my last post, but school has gotten the best of me the last few weeks. I have had three test in one week in the same class. It's been nuts!! I'm lucky I'm still sane! LOL! Well, other than school I have done much of anything.
This weekend a good friend of ours is coming up to see one of our favorite comedians at Harrah's Saturday night. Then we going to Tupelo to let my family meet Lady for the first time then to inlaws for a bit then off to Birmingham to visit my aunt before my appointment on Monday at 9:15. I'm not nervous about this appointment at all. I'm excited to go just don't want to do the prep once I get there. No matter how many times I have that done, it's still NO fun!! Andrew is going with me!
Speaking of appointments, I did go to my OBGYN. They don't think it's yeast. We are trying a med to see it will work and I'll post later when I go back in two weeks the name of what I have if the meds work.
Well, I know this is a short post but not much is going on other than school right now. Next week, Jaylee turns 1!! I'm so excited about her birthday party next weekend and all that goes with it!!

Happy Birthday, Jake!!! And Swimming

Jake's birthday was last Friday and his party was Saturday. I, of course, could not miss it! On Friday, I went over to help Jennifer get ready for everything. We made cupcakes, cleaned, and made good-bags for all Jake's friends. He had a blast!! Oh, he turned two!!

Jake loves Thomas!! He even has a ChooChoo Bread Cutter for his PBandJ sandwiches! I love this little boy so much!!

My neighbor, Brittany, was nice enough to paint Jake's Thomas picture for me! He now has it hung in his room. Yesterday, I was over there, Jake ran in his room, and pointed at the picture and said, "ChooChoo!!" I was so happy that he really liked his gift!!
------------------------
Yesterday, Jake and I were invited to go swimming with the Lemonds, and the Potts, and I could go on and on about how many people joined us for swimming. He didn't like it at first when I put him in the baby ring. Once, he figured out that he was fine and could kick to move himself around he loved it!!

We enjoyed a picnic lunch and then we got back in the pool. I noticed that he was not splashing much like he was before lunch. So, I removed his sunglasses to find:

He enjoyed a nice little nap by the pool!! It was so cute. We have had a great weekend together!! I can't wait in a couple of weeks to celebrate my niece's first birthday!!

Update on My Health

Hello to all!! I'm so excited that I'm coming up on my second year from having my first surgery. This surgery was where they made my J-pouch. This morning I was on Facebook and reading a blog of two people who are working on getting knowledge and support out to people who have or are thinking about having this surgery. Most people who have this surgery are people with UC and Crohn's disease. While on that site, I found another site that also provides support. They had a slide show of how the J-pounch is made. It was so cool that I felt like I should share it will you. You can go to the link here. This is the best way to show how it was made that I have found. I know Emily, Dr. Cannon's nurse, will love this! I hope this has giving you an idea of what my J-pouch is like! If you are wanting to go to the blog I was reading you can access it here .

UpDate on My Health

Hello to all! I hope you are enjoying this Memorial Day Weekend. We plan too!
Yesterday, we went to Cherokee to celebrate Pawpaw Billy's 80th birthday! He'll turn the big 8-0 on June 5th! We love him every much! We took Lady with us, and he was hoping that she was his present. She's my new baby and I'm not going to part with her!
---------------------------------------
Now that I have gotten you update with what is going on here. I want to let you know what my health is doing. I'm doing great, but other than this yeast thing (I think) that is driving both me and Andrew crazy. It's not fun. It's like I get an infection at least once every two weeks. I'm planning to call my OB/GYN tomorrow to schedule an appointment. Something has got to give. I don't think it has anything to do with my J-pouch ,but I'm not sure. It's become so annoying that I have used almost three tubes of anti-funigal and anti-itch cream in the last three months. I don't think it's yeast anymore. I don't even eat bread anymore. If I want a sandwich, I make it on flour tortillas. Who knows what it could be, but it's getting old.
I feel like I have gotten to personal with this post but living with a J-pouch everything comes a bit more public. I have enjoyed my J-pouch and would do it again if I had to do it all over. Like I said earlier, I don't think it's my J-pouch causing the problem.
I have my next appointment with Dr. Cannon on June 20. I can't wait to go to see everybody! They have helped me so much that I could never in my life time be able to give them all that they deserve for helping me in this way. They gave me my life back, and I'm so grateful for that!

Meet Lady!!

Andrew and I have been talking the last few weeks about getting another dog. Casper and I were walking with our neighbors and their dogs on Wednesday when one of the girls asked if we wanted to see the new puppies that another neighbor had. So we went to see them, and I asked Andrew to come and look at them too. We came home in love with one of them and so had one of our other neighbors. We both fell in love with the runt of the litter. So, I text our neighbor to see if they we going to take her. They had a baby on Monday and she told me that they could not get her because it would be too much right now for them. I was so excited. I was supposed to go school yesterday but got a text from another friend that class had been canceled so I went to Wal-Mart to get Lady her new things to come home. I went nuts over the cute girl dog stuff. She has a pink and white pok-a-dot leash, collier, food bowls, and bed. She looks so cute with it too!! We named her Lady because of the movie Lady and the Tramp. Casper is not a human name so I didn't want to give her a human name. I think she will grow into her name. If you think about it they both are named after a movie. Casper the Friendly Ghost is where I got Casper's name.
So here she is:

She's a CKC black Cocker Spaniel, and she's asleep right now next to me on the couch as I type this. She is so sweet, and did really well last night. I think our neighbor kept her and her brother and sisters in a crate at night which helps us out. I'll let her move upstairs with us when she gets good and house trained.
I know you're thinking well what about Casper. We kept him. We could never let him go. He's our first child, and we love him dearly. He's not too sure about Lady because he has sat in the recliner most of the day yesterday looking at her. He's going to have to get use to her because she's not going anywhere. I hope that one day they can become great friends. I can't wait for our families to get to meet her. I know they will love her as fast as we did.
